Billy was the son of T.J. Beggs, Jr. and a fourth generation funeral director.

He is remembered as one of the most kind and compassionate people in the funeral profession. He was a comforter, and his heart was always filled with light.

Billy was known for giving people a reason to smile, and even laugh, in the toughest of times, because he believed it to be the best medicine.

Ashli McCall graduated from FSU with a BS in Education and taught public and private school until becoming a stay-at-home mom. She was blessed to home school her two children for over 15 wonderful years.

After growing older and experiencing deep personal losses and funerals firsthand, she wanted to help others going through it and so became a returning student in funeral service in her 50s! Ashli is proud to have graduated from St. Petersburg College with honors and grateful to have won several highly competitive scholarships from professional funeral service organizations such as Funeral Service Foundation, American Board of Funeral Service Education, and Service Corporation International. She is currently working on earning her CFSP as a mark of professional distinction and desires most to serve others.

In her spare time Ashli is part of the worship team at her church, advocates for her son who has autism, giggles with her daughter, celebrates nearly 35 years with her sweet husband, loves all things tiki, and is an author, singer, and voracious reader with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

Ashli is greatly honored to be the first female licensed funeral director and embalmer employed by Beggs Funeral Home in its 137-year history.
